            David Glynn, Hannibal Country Club’s General Manager, came to Hannibal with an impressive background in the food and beverage industry, as well as club management. Born in Ireland, David traveled with his family to Canada and ultimately to the United States.
            In the 1990s, he owned his own restaurant while living in Austin, Texas. Located on Sixth Street, “Toulouse” is quite famous for its Mardi Gras theme and fantastic food. David then moved to the country club in Denton, Texas, gathering seven years of valuable experience in facility management.
David’s wife, Tami, is a native of Minnesota, and so the young family was naturally drawn to the idea of getting back to Midwestern roots. Thus David’s next career move led them to southwestern Missouri. Most recently, he held the title of Clubhouse Manager at the country club in St. Joseph, Missouri, for four years.
David has a vision for the future of the Hannibal Country Club, with an emphasis on family. The new general manager has a wealth of ideas and a fresh approach to club management. “I understand how the HCC is evolving into a higher level of standards, and I’m looking forward to achieving that goal,” he commented.
With David’s Texas background, members can look forward to plenty of great steaks, barbecue and family cookouts. Catfish will make a come-back on the regular menu, a nice touch for a town steeped in the heritage of the Mighty Mississippi. He is eager to implement plans for a short “summer camp” for club kids that will include fun swimming and golfing activities.
The Glynn family consists of David, Tami and their two children, son Ryan, age 17; and daughter Korissa, who is 11. Ryan will be attending William Jewell in the fall on a golf scholarship and Korissa will attend Hannibal schools.
Hannibal Country Club truly feels as if a bit of Irish Luck brought David to its door step and looks forward to his fresh approach and expertise.
